But now, it is being shaken to its foundations. Parasitic plagues run rampant, and its inhabitants dream of terrible monsters feasting on their flesh and bones.

Lieutenant Castamon of the Ultramarines knows the omens of an impending Tyranid invasion all too well. The battle-hardened veteran gathers his warriors and sends a strike force to the edge of the system to destroy the aliens before they reach Regium. But this new tentacle of Hive Fleet Leviathan proves unpredictable and dangerous, forcing Castamon and the First Company to summon all their skill, strength, and zeal to avoid complete annihilation.
