Channeling the energies of the forge worlds into bizarre weapons, the Rangers of the Skitarii are relentless and tireless hunters. They believe that an assignment isn't over until the enemy is completely destroyed, even if that means tracking them for decades across the galaxy.
Skitarii Rangers, clad in hoods and gasmasks, stalk their prey with galvanic rifles ready to fire. Each warrior is protected by a heavy Skitarii warplate emblazoned with the symbol of the Adeptus Mechanicus and brimming with data sensors, antennae and monitoring systems. To adapt to the harsh terrain of Mars, their legs have been removed from the knee down and replaced by bionic prostheses that give the models a cold, cybernetic look.
The unit may include an Alpha armed with an arc pistol or radium pistol and a combat weapon (your choice of power sword, taser prod, or arc mace). Three models can wield heavy weapons, including a transuranium blunderbuss, arc rifle and plasma culverin complete with specific head and backpack. A model can be assembled as an Alpha, equipped with an improved data set or an omnispex. The models in the box perfectly reflect the compulsive obsession with data collection that characterizes the Adeptus Mechanicus.
This multi-part plastic kit contains everything you need to make ten Skitarii Rangers or ten Skitarii Vanguards. The box includes 124 components: twenty-three heads, eleven of which are Skitarii Rangers, twenty-five weapons, a small transfer sheet, one Citadel 60x35.5mm Oval base, and ten Citadel 25mm Round bases.
